Eleven Queens schools are among 37 citywide chosen by the Center for Arts Education to receive Annenberg Grants to promote fine arts.

The grants, up to $75,000 a year for four years, will allow the schools to be paired with cultural organizations that will bring artists-in-residence to classrooms for four years to teach children the arts, train teachers on how to teach the arts to their students, and conduct related workshops for parents.

This year's participating Queens schools are Public School 144 in Forest Hills; PS 134 and Intermediate School 192 in Hollis; PS 176 in Cambria Heights; PS 35 in St. Albans; PS 120 and PS 165 in Flushing, PS 102 in Elmhurst, PS 154 in Flushing Heights, PS 117 in Briarwood and Long Island City High School.
