Wall Street ‘Corner’ Building to be Transformed into Dynamic Art

The former JP Morgan-owned building at 23 Wall Street is getting a major makeover come springtime. Although the city landmark nicknamed “The Corner” is nestled prominently on the southeast corner of Broad Street, it has remained abandoned for the last several years. Somewhat astonishingly.

But the space is in the midst of a dynamic transformation thanks to artist Simon Birch. It will become home to the prospective 14th Factory, an immersive conglomerate of installations by established and emerging artists. The showcased art addresses a range of creativity, from fashion and photography to performance.

The six-week spectacle opens to the public April 14. Events will also include talks and other programming for adults/youths with the help of the Center for Arts Education. Donation boxes will be placed around the premises to benefit several children’s charities.
