Lisa Robb has been appointed by the Center for Arts Education as its new executive director, according to the New York Times’ Joshua Barone. Robb comes from the New York State Council on the Arts, where she oversaw around forty million dollars in grants. She has also worked at the Bronx Museum of the Arts and the Pelham Art Center.

Founded in 1996, the Center for Arts Education is a New York City–based nonprofit group that works for “arts education in New York City government and in classrooms,” writes Barone. Three years ago, it helped the New York City Council—as well as the mayor’s office—expand arts education with ninety-two million dollars over four years.

Robb is replacing Eric G. Pryor, who left the center last year to lead the Harlem School of the Arts.
